Manufacturing Engineer
Job Summary |
The Quality Manufacturing Engineer’s primary function will be to support the hourly staff with mechanical assembly and/or electrical assembly problems as they arise, and, to find ways to eliminate waste in our production processes. Other responsibilities will include developing and improving our systems that integrate workers, materials, and information, using lean principals and creating documentation to capture our systems, processes and methods. |
Principal Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Lead manufacturing team in solving assembly and production challenges in our operation
2. Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost through the creation of new processes and improvement of existing processes and manufacturing methods.

Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.) |
1. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvements in operations processes and lead the team through the changes
2. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodology with a track record of success in both implementation and sustainment 3. Experience with ISO 9001 and quality systems 4. Track record of successful process driven problem solving 5. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics 6. Excellent communication skills 7. Experience in an office environment, with frequent use of and proficiency with computers 8. Ability to prioritize, generate plans of action, and drive for results |
Education Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field |
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions: |
This job requires minimal travel and a daily on-site presence in York. Normal manufacturing plant office conditions and occasional travel may be required to meet with suppliers. Job demands may require long periods of standing, sitting, and/or computer work, as well as interaction with other people. Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, driving, and/or traveling. |
